Pragmatics
the study of language in use,the intended meaning by the speaker of writer
Comparison between pragmatics and semantics:contextual or literal meaning;contextualized or decontextualized.eg I'm tired.semantically it means your state.pramatically,it can be a complaint or ask for permission to take a holiday.
Context:common sense or knowledge shared by the speaker and the hearer.
Sentence meaning (abstract and literal)and utterance meaning(concrete and context-dependent).eg,it's cold here.In different context,it's a different utterance. The latter is based on the former and the realization of the former.somes utterances are not sentences.egMy bag is being heavy.
